How to Make Homemade Brown Sugar Cake at Home

Brown sugar is a natural product, so it is very easy to make your own. The process takes very little time. Just mix together sugar, brown sugar, and molasses in a mixing bowl with a mixer attachment fitted with a hook. Mix until sugar is dissolved and molasses completely dissolved, then mix on medium speed until light and fluffy, just like real brown sugar, with an unnoticeable appearance similar to that of real sugar. Next, add in eggs one at a time, stirring well to incorporate the yolks, one at a time, into the mixture, then adding in one tablespoon of molasses, and blending thoroughly until the mixture turns out to be light brown, just like natural brown sugar. Finally, add in two tablespoons of lemon juice and two tablespoons of honey, which will cause your mixture to become shiny and moist.

Now, coat the inside of the cupcake pan with the mixture, but remember to be careful not to let any of the mixture spill on the top surface. Place the cupcake pan on the cookie sheet and bake for approximately one hour at medium heat. Once the cake is done, allow it to cool completely. When it is cool, place the cupcakes in a single layer on a wire cooling rack and allow them to cool completely before frosting. Learn more about recipes here.

For the frosting, take three cups of unsweetened powdered sugar, one teaspoon of lemon juice, one teaspoon of vanilla, one egg yolk, one tablespoon of lemon juice, and two teaspoons of cream of tartar. Mix the powdered sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and egg yolk together in a bowl, then add in the lemon juice mixture. The mixture will turn out to be lumpy, but once it is completely blended, it will be creamy, smooth, and delicious.

You can frost the cupcakes by using the homemade brown sugar icing that you have just made, or by using store-bought cake icing that you can buy in the store. You can also purchase cupcake liners from the grocery store, but if you do this, make sure you remove the liner before adding the frosting to your cupcakes.

If you decide to go with homemade brown sugar, you can purchase your supplies at the local grocery store and have everything you need, including the baking tools and the recipe book, all at your fingertips. This way, you will never have to worry about purchasing store bought frosting or icing again. Learn more about a cookbook here: https://www.britannica.com/topic/cookbook.
